                        Chocolate Christmas Trifle

   1      package       Brownie mix -- prepared as directed
   2      large boxes   instant chocolate pudding -- prepared as directed
     1/2  cup           coffee liqueur
  12      ounces        Cool Whip®
   6      bars          toffee

Prepare the brownie mix as directed. Remove it from the oven and while it
is still hot, pierce it with a fork several times. Pour the liqueur over
the mix. 

While brownies are cooling make the pudding as directed.
Take 1/3 of the prepared brownies and crumble into the bottom of Trifle (or
glass) bowl. Layer 1/3 of the pudding on top of the brownies, 1/3 of the
Cool Whip on top of the pudding and layer 2 of the  toffee bars, crumbled,
on top of the cool whip. Repeat layering in this manner until you are done,
ending with the last two toffe bars. Refrigerate 24 hours.
