Corn Chowder

1/4 pound bacon, diced
3 medium onions, chopped
3-4 diced peeled potatoes*
1/2 cup water
4 cups corn
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
cooked diced chicken (optional)
8 oz. sour cream
milk

Fry bacon until almost crisp.  Add onions and cook until golden brown.
Add potatoes and water, simmer until potatoes are almost done.  Add
corn and cook until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients and heat
slowly.  Add enough milk for consistency desired.  This is best when 
reheated!

*I usually put my diced peeled potatoes in the microwave to partially
precook them.  There are times that those little buggers can seem to 
cook forever and never get tender!  Much easier this way!
