Banned Books On-Line - A very interesting site. It is amazing to find out what books have been banned, and why, then read the online text.

The Children's Literature Web Guide - Links to lots of children's literature sites. You can even link to full length versions of famous classics! Too much to mention - a must see site!

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare - This site is wonderful! It contains the complete works of Shakespeare; however, the beauty of this site is the Archaic words are linked to their meaning, so your student can really UNDERSTAND these works!

ERIC Clearinghouse on Reading, English, and Communication(ERIC/REC) - "This site is dedicated to providing educational materials, services, and coursework to everyone interested in the language arts." Tons of great links to online sources for children's stories, Lesson plans, etc.

Econo-Clad Books Awards Book List - If you are searching for some good reading, maybe these lists can help. Has title, description, price, plus year won. Nice for reference.

The English Server - Amazing site!! Contains over 20,000 works broken down into different sections. The 18th Century Studies (for example) has novels, plays, memoirs, treatises and poems of the period. What a great resource! Has online search and mailing list, bulletin boards and MORE.

Fake Out - The definition guessing game. Broken down into three categories K-2, 3-5, and 6+. You can even write a definition for the next weeks word and see how many people chose your "fake" definition.
